Quality Assurance Analyst
Brief Job Description
Ensure release of highest quality products by conducting quality assurance testing of applications and systems code through development of testing plans, creation of audit materials choosing appropriate test samples, and analysis of technical specifications to ensure results are in compliance with client specifications and are completely "bug" free.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Participate in design meetings to analyze client needs and restrictions utilizing testing knowledge and knowledge of federal laws pertaining to credit reporting to assist in the development of technical specifications, testing procedures and testing plans as requested.
- Independently test a wide variety of applications and systems.
- Read and interpret technical specifications provided by the Project Manager.
- Test and analyze audit materials, web pages, system capabilities.
- Identify and clearly document any errors, discrepancies or inconsistencies found during the testing/auditing process. Provide feedback to developers and project managers about errors found, recommend a course of corrective action.
- Utilize internal tools such as Bugzilla, ITS, WebRules business rules developer, etc.
- Plan tasks to meet individual project deadlines by utilizing good judgment, goal setting and positive proactive communication with other Zoot employees.
- Provide technical assistance and mentoring to entry-level analysts and provide technical assistance to others as needed.
- Adhere to all internal and external project testing and credit industry standards.
- Work continuously to improve product quality and testing procedures.
- Achieve a service-focused culture with emphasis on delivering high-quality products and services to internal and external clients.

Technical and Business-Related Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- Possess a solid understanding of process flow and development, Distributed System, Zoot's organizational mission and goals, and the credit processing business.
- Previous quality assurance analysis or computer programming experience desired.
- Ability to operate computer and general office equipment.
- Ability to independently analyze extensive data, identify discrepancies and inconsistencies and recommend a course of corrective action.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented work environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and demonstrate initiative and good judgment taking into consideration that decisions will have an affect on the customized services provided to Zoot clients, compliance with federal laws and regulations governing credit reporting, and efficiency of department operations.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with a wide variety of individuals.
- Ability to represent the company in a positive and professional manner.
- Ability to work well both independently and as a member of a team.
Educational Background or Professional Designation Required:
- Four-year College Degree, BS Computer Science (preferred) OR
- Equivalent combination of education and experience.
